Since we began FML Thursday at MaxBAR, the nightlife deal site Poggled has featured a special for our event. Last Friday our newest event, Round 2 Fridays at Fuze began, was featured on Poggled as well. Being featured on Poggled is an effective marketing channel for our events to be distributed to a wide audience. From my view, one of the best benefits of using Poggled is that they send photographers to cover the featured event. Photographing the event helps create a more engaging and exciting customer experience. It also gives events more exposure because the photos are featured on Poggled's Facebook page and website.
Recently I reached out to Poggled because I wanted to use their photos from FML Thursday and Round 2 Friday on our Facebook page. They gave us permission to use their photos with little hesitation. There are two specific reasons why I wanted to use their photos. First, the Poggled photographers produced very good work, which is quality content our audience will enjoy. Second, I feel publicizing our partnership with Poggled increases our brand equity. It lets our audience know that we have aligned ourselves with a reputable brand.
After my conversation with Poggled I became cognizant of what Decibel Affairs truly is. At its core Decibel Affairs is a marketing company. We have created advertising for FML Thursday and Round 2 Friday, cross-promoted with L.A Tan, co-marketed FML Thursday with C.O.R. Entertainment, and used social media marketing to increase customer engagement. The parties we throw are simply the by-product of our passion for marketing.
